Kyrenia Beaches
From easy town coves to the protected turtle sands of Alagadi, the beaches along the Kyrenia coast are among the clearest in the Mediterranean.
Where to swim
The coast on either side of Girne is lined with beaches and beach clubs, most an easy drive from the hotel. Which one suits you depends on whether you want facilities and calm swimming, or quiet nature.
- West of town — beach clubs with loungers, bars and sheltered swimming, about 10–15 minutes by car
- Alagadi (Turtle Beach), east of Kyrenia — a protected nesting beach, about 25 minutes
- Small coves near the harbour for a quick swim close to the centre
Good to know
Most beach clubs charge a small daily fee for sunbeds and umbrellas, often redeemable against food and drink. Public stretches such as Alagadi are free but have fewer facilities, so bring what you need for the day.

Which is the best beach near Avenue Hotel?

How do I get to the beaches?
Most are a 10–25 minute drive. A taxi or short car hire works well — ask our reception and we will point you to the right one for the day.
